Modern Slavery Act Statement
Policy Statement
This policy applies to all persons working for or on behalf of Tier Consult Ltd in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors, officers, agency workers, seconded workers, volunteers, agents, contractors, and suppliers.
Tier Consult Ltd strictly prohibits the use of modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. We are committed to implementing and maintaining effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within our organisation or its supply chains. We expect our suppliers to uphold the same high standards and to ensure that their own supply chains are free from modern slavery and human trafficking.
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
Modern slavery is a term used to encompass slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, bonded and child labour, and human trafficking. Human trafficking involves arranging or facilitating the travel of a person with a view to that person being exploited. Modern slavery is a criminal offence and a serious violation of fundamental human rights.
Our Commitments
Tier Consult Ltd is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We expect everyone working for or on our behalf to support and uphold the following commitments:
- We operate a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking within our organisation and supply chains.
- The prevention, detection, and reporting of modern slavery is the responsibility of all those working for or on behalf of Tier Consult Ltd. Individuals must not engage in, facilitate, or fail to report any activity that may indicate a breach of this policy.
- We are committed to engaging with our stakeholders and suppliers to identify and address the risks of modern slavery within our operations and supply chains.
- We adopt a risk-based approach to our contracting and procurement processes and keep these under regular review. Where appropriate, we include specific contractual prohibitions against the use of modern slavery and trafficked labour.
- Using a risk-based approach, we may require suppliers to confirm compliance with our Code of Conduct, which sets out the minimum standards expected to combat modern slavery and human trafficking.
- We may require employment agencies, labour providers, and other third parties supplying workers to confirm their compliance with our Code of Conduct.
- Where suppliers engage workers through third parties, we may require those third parties to formally agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct.
- As part of our ongoing risk assessment and due diligence processes, we may carry out audits or request evidence of supplier compliance where circumstances warrant.
- Where breaches of this policy are identified, we will take appropriate action. This may include requiring remediation where appropriate or, where necessary, terminating business relationships.
