This project involved the refurbishment of an existing hotel and extension to such to create a 50 bed nursing home within a Conservation Area in South Shropshire.

The extension was of a modern construction incorporating a steel frame with holorib metal deck / concrete composite floors. The new roof comprised trussed rafters and elements of a cut traditional roof to suit the architectural parameters set-out during planning. External walls were built with a metal stud and insulation system for speed, clad with facing bricks and reconstructed stone all to match the original features of the refurbished hotel building.
